Wrestling gives you the tools you need to cope with life’s most challenging moments. This program, like our sport is transformative. IOWA is Wrestling

Wrestling and the State of Iowa go hand-in-hand. The rich tradition of our sport reflects the values of all Iowans - hard working, tough, and unwavering determination to achieve their goals. It makes sense that wrestling took the state by storm in the early 1920's and is still going strong over 100 years later!

In 1973 the Hawkeye Wrestling Club was created to enhance and extend the careers of aspiring athletes and to help them pursue NCAA, World, and Olympic Wrestling Championships.

The University of Iowa and the Hawkeye Wrestling Club have worked in unison for the last 50 years and have been fixated on the pursuit of excellence and our state's success, since the beginning. Living legends have inspired young athletes for the last 5 decades, and our goal is to continue that tradition of excellence into perpetuity! This pursuit is not possible without the support of generous donors like you and athletes that strive for greatness everyday.

Every donation to our 501(c)3 nonprofit provides financial assistance that directly impacts our athletes. Expenses for domestic competitions, training camps, and foreign tours are all possible because of you! These donations help us stay at the top of our craft and focused on helping aspiring athletes reach their full potential.
